A Night with Michael Palin - '20 Years of Travelling, 40 Years of Jokes'
On Friday 26th June UN day in support of victims of torture Michael Palin will host a one man show at the IndigO2 in aid of the Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture.The first half of the show will be a race through twenty years on the road illustrated by the stunning photographs of his travelling companion Basil Pao. The second half will concentrate on comedy with readings from things that make him laugh and reminiscences of what it's been like being a Python for Forty Years.Its hard to catch Michael live and even harder to get the chance to meet him in person... but weve got the holy grail You can have the chance to do both if you buy tickets for the after show party. The Medical Foundation is something of which we should be proud. It is one of the outward and visible signs that we in this country do care about other people's pain and suffering. Sadly as we watch the news unfold each day we're very forcibly reminded their work is in as much demand as ever. Supporting the Medical Foundation is one way of showing that we care about the victims of brutality. It's a small voice of protest against the bullies of this world.
